What is JRNY? 

  • JRNY is an adaptive fitness membership that evolves to fit you better with each use. It suggests personalized workouts that adapt to you and your fitness needs, helping you make progress towards your unique fitness goals. 

 

How does it work?

  • First, the JRNY platform assesses your fitness level and designs workouts tailored to you and your personal fitness journey. Then, it recommends workouts based on your abilities and the workout experiences you favor. Finally, your JRNY® workouts automatically adjust over time as you progress. As you evolve, the more your workouts adapt to keep you challenged. This removes the guesswork and creates a personalized fitness plan you can stick to for long-term success.

 

What features does the JRNY membership offer? 

  • Through JRNY, you can perform Adaptive Workouts based on your fitness level, ride or run through global destinations with Explore the World, and follow along with world-class trainers with our library of trainer-led videos.

 

  • You can also access workouts curated Just for You based on your previous preferences.

How do I download the app? (website and app stores)

The JRNY App can be downloaded from your device’s App Store.

Getting started with the app (fitness assessment and first workouts)

  1. Fitness Assessment

  • Make sure your volume is turned up & get ready for the Fitness Assessment.

  • Follow the audio coach through a few intervals

  • On the speed dial, hit the highlighted Burn Rate zones by adjusting your speed

 

How do I connect to other third party apps?

 

For built-in touchscreen products:

  • On your personal mobile device, open the third party app you’re wanting to connect.

  • On your machine touchscreen, find & select “Workout with your Favorite App” under Programs->Standard Workouts.

  • Once the “Workout with your Favorite App” exercise is started, open Bluetooth within the third party app and connect to your machine.

 

For products without a touchscreen:

  • Power on your machine and open your third party app, connecting to the machine through the Bluetooth menu

 

Am I able to mirror or cast JRNY onto a larger screen?

  •  While the JRNY app is designed to be used with your device on the go, mirroring to a TV or larger screen is a great way to enhance the experience and get the most out of your workouts. Check out the mirroring options in your personal streaming device or TV to learn more. 

Note: A third party device is needed to cast the JRNY app (ex. Chromecast, Apple TV, etc.)

 

 

 

How do I start a workout?

  • To start a workout, choose your workout type from the tabs within JRNY

    • Programs - Adaptive & Manual Workouts

    • Explore the World - Virtual Routes

    • Videos - Trainer Led Workout Routines

  • Once you’ve selected a tab, tap on a workout to view a summary of the exercise

  • Once you’ve found your desired workout, hit Select & choose any Entertainment, Radio Stations, or Explore the World routes you’d like to pair with it!

  • Once completed, your workout data can be found within the Journal tab along with any Milestones

 

Note: The Fitness Assessment must be completed before workouts will display.

 

 

What metrics does the JRNY platform share with me?

 

You can customize your metrics bar by toggling certain metrics on and off using the gear icon menu during a workout. Metrics customization is only available on Bowflex Touchscreen products and within Adaptive or Explore the World workouts.

  • Time (Remaining) - Time remaining until workout ends

  • Time (Total) - Time elapsed since start of workout

  • Interval Timer (Middle of Screen) - Time remaining in the current interval

  • Calories - Calories burned since start of workout

  • RPM - Revolutions per minute

  • Resistance/Incline - Numeric value showing current level

  • Burn Rate - Amount of Calories per minute burned, calculated based on Resistance & Speed

  • Heart Rate - Reading of heart rate from Bluetooth HR monitor or HR hand zones
